Resistance to EW and interception
The fiber optic reel provides complete protection against electronic warfare and guarantees stable signal transmission without delay. Operating without radio waves, it emits no signal, so it cannot be detected, jammed or intercepted. This eliminates the risk of losing control at a critical moment and ensures clear, uninterrupted video transmission even in the area of active enemy electronic warfare. This makes it possible to carry out precision strikes, reconnaissance and special missions even in conditions of complete electronic control.
Precision in every movement
The reel is designed to provide a reliable wired connection between the operator and the UAV or unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) operating in the most challenging conditions of the modern battlefield. The fiber length of up to 12 km provides a tactical range of up to 10.5 km, while maintaining full control over the platform at the front line. This allows for effective target engagement, reconnaissance and mission execution with accuracy and stable communications.
For drones and beyond
The fiber optic module is compatible with copters with a diameter of 10 inches or more and UGV. The design takes into account aerodynamics and mounting features: the module can be easily integrated into existing solutions via a bracket. The dimensions and weight are optimised for combat conditions where speed, agility and reliability are important.
Reliability in every wire
Data is transmitted via modern protocols: S-BUS, CRSF and Ethernet, which allows the reel to be integrated into most control systems. It operates in a wide voltage range from 5 to 30 V, so it can be easily connected to most drones and platforms. The fiber optic has curl resistance up to 7.5 mm, which is critical during agile flight. This is not just a connection, but a secure control channel that can withstand combat loads.
Control component: Ground station for reel
The BTRY ground station is the control centre for fiber optic-based systems. The device converts control signals from the remote control and video from FPV goggles into an optical format for transmission via fiber, and also performs the reverse conversion for data reception. The station has a durable plastic case and is equipped with the necessary connectors for connecting the remote control, video devices and power supply.
