Foreign countries are already responding to the changes that occurred on the battlefield and in the theater of operations of the Russian-Ukrainian war under the influence of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) between 2022 and 2025 — implementing systemic transformations in their militaries.

Drones are no longer just reconnaissance tools — they are reshaping global armies. The UK, USA, South Korea, Taiwan, and others, inspired by Ukraine’s experience, are shifting away from tanks and helicopters toward autonomous systems. In 2025, FPV drones are 3D-printed in jungles, and solar-powered UAVs can fly for hours. The future of warfare lies in swarms of cheap, “smart” drones — not armored vehicles.
