In strategic terms, drones are gradually becoming a powerful tool for impacting the enemy’s economy, while hybrid unmanned systems—sometimes multi-domain—are increasingly appearing on the battlefield.

In October 2025, the UAV and UGV industry exploded with innovation: Auterion, together with Ukrainian partners, created the long-range Artemis ALM-20 drone with AI guidance; Venator Technologies unveiled the agile Flycat with X-shaped wings; and Tenebris launched the interceptor “Bagnet” with 85% domestic components. Quantum Systems impressed with the hybrid Jäger featuring a solid-fuel booster, London Defence R&D introduced the 3D-printed Baby Raptor, and Shield AI revealed the jet-powered X-bat with vertical takeoff. AeroVironment upgraded the Switchblade 300/600, while Sikorsky transformed the Black Hawk into the unmanned U-Hawk. Ukrainian firm “General Chereshnya” completed testing of the Bullet air-defense drone, and the ground platform “Zmiiy” along with the relay drone “Rekrut” expanded UGV capabilities.
